Who is Best Damn Web Girl?

Me! I once asked a long time client how she referred to me when talking to others. Her response? “I call you the best damn web girl ever.” I loved it so much, I had to use it. BDWG was born. I still operate under my original business name, who says having split personalities is a bad thing?!

The Past

I’ve been building websites for several years now and I love it. I started with Dreamweaver back in the day, building personal web pages and quickly graduated to straight html and css. From there I moved into learning a little php and content management systems like PHP-Nuke. Back then I was big into coupons and deal shopping and I ran an online shopping coupons and deals site. I was Queen of the Military Commissary back then, teaching everyone how to stack coupons to get things for free and teaching the commissary their own coupon policy.

As the kids got older and required more time, the coupons slipped to the side. I started doing little tweaks here and there for friends on their websites. I quickly realized that this is what I wanted to do. I wanted to make great websites. I narrowed down my field to Zencart and WordPress and officially began my web design business.

The Future

I now focus almost completely on WordPress for my design needs. It has become my favorite platform because it’s easy for my clients to learn. My goal is to lighten the load of my clients and WordPress helps me do that. By narrowing my focus, I have freed up some of my time to focus on social media and search engine optimization.

I’ve gone through some transformations over the years, I’ve learned a lot and I know there is still a ton more to learn. I love learning. One thing has remained consistent- my love for building websites and my customer service. I’ve always said, “Your success is my success”, and I totally mean it!
